The Mortgage Broking Loan Processor Foundation course is designed to equip entry-level loan processors and administrative staff with the core terminology, industry acronyms, and operational concepts used daily in Australian mortgage broking. Master the language of Australian lending to ensure clear communication, accurate CRM data entry, and seamless file submission to lenders.
This module focuses on the stages of the home loan process from submission through to settlement. It provides a comprehensive overview of each step, including submission, pre-assessment, full assessment, issuance of loan documents, receipt of signed documents, document certification, booking of settlement, and final settlement. The module also covers how to identify and retrieve MIRS (Missing Information Requests), as well as the appropriate points of contact for the Virtual Assistant Associate (VAA) when follow-ups or clarifications are required. At the end of this module, VAs will have a clear understanding of the end-to-end post-submission process and will be able to effectively support brokers by monitoring application progress, managing document requirements, and coordinating with the appropriate parties involved.
This module focuses on how to analyse a customer’s income within the context of mortgage broking. It introduces different employment types; however, the primary focus of the analysis will be on PAYG clients. The module also covers the fundamentals of selecting the appropriate payslips for income assessment and provides guidance on understanding key payslip components, including but not limited to novated lease, salary sacrifice, salary packaging, overtime, and bonuses. In addition, it includes training on generating a funding position and conducting product comparisons. At the end of this module, Virtual Assistants (VAs) will be able to confidently analyse PAYG income, identify the correct payslips for assessment, interpret key income components, and accurately generate funding positions and product comparisons to effectively support brokers.
This module provides a comprehensive introduction to construction loans, focusing on their unique short-term funding structures and risk-mitigation properties within the mortgage sector. Analysts will explore the mechanics of progressive drawdowns, distinct lender policy frameworks, and the essential credit assessment metrics required to evaluate borrower eligibility. By mastering these core concepts, learners will develop the foundational knowledge necessary to navigate complex residential build projects and safeguard lending portfolios against structural financial risks.
